Wednesday, December 27, 2006My Biscuits Are Burnin'! I fell asleep on the beach in the Dominican Republic, and sunburned my ass. It is just such a "me" thing to do! Vacation Roundup Our anniversary/Christmas vacation was wonderful (except for the food. but I lost 5 lbs, so all's well that ends well). Mr. Right and I spent our days lazing on the beach drinking pina coladas, and our evenings strolling around under the Cheshire Cat moon. I have pretty much decided that the environmentalists can suck my dick, since for years they've been warning me that I can get a serious burn with just 20 minutes of sun exposure if I'm not wearing sunscreen. Uh huh. So why did my ass, covered in 45 SPF, come out like a crispy critter, while my stomach - left un-slathered for two hours in mid-day sun - not even turn brown? Suck. My. Girly. Little. Dick. David. Suzuki. Christmas Christmas Eve took Mr. Right and I, along with some friends we met up with on the resort, into the third-world town of Luperon for Mass. In any language, Catholic Mass is always exactly the same. If you know the routine, you can follow along with no trouble at all. And in this case, Father Nelson (the local priest) was kind enough to add a short sermon in english for his Canadian guests, which made us fell all the more welcome. It was wonderful.
