Unlike Muslims

When Christians find a freak in their midst, we call them out. We take them to court. We publicly denounce and vilify them.

Unlike the Muslims.

The brokenhearted father of a Marine killed in Iraq won a long-shot legal fight today after a federal jury in Baltimore awarded him nearly $11 million in a verdict against members of a Kansas church who hoisted anti-gay placards at his son’s Westminster funeral.

The jury's announcement 24 hours after deliberations first began was met with tears and hugs from the family and supporters of Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder, whose March 2006 funeral was protested by members of the Westboro Baptist Church with signs including "Thank God for dead soldiers."

It wasn't so long ago that the most wanted fugitive in America was Warren Jeffs. A Mormon, he believed in Christ, but practiced a dangerous form of religion that put women and children at risk of sexual exploitation. This man was hunted down like the dog he is, and now stands trial.

We're still waiting for the Muslims to hand over Bin laden and his ilk. But that day will never come, because more of them stand with him than against him. There is so much evil in Islam, that they have no reason to hold each other accountable.

We stood against Jeffs, and against Phelps.

Unlike the Muslims.

"But that's not my penis!"

Quote of the day. And another reason I will never run for office (no, I don't have a penis, but that would be a reason, too!). The politics of the penis...

A family values campaigner accused of taking pornographic photographs of himself has been dumped as a candidate for Australia's November election by the Christian-values Family First Party.

Sydney music teacher Andrew Quah, 21, admitted photographs showing his penis and circulating widely on gay websites had embarrassed his party and made his candidacy untenable.

"But that's not my penis," Quah told the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper, adding one of the images may have been digitally altered.

"I might have been drunk off my face, or my political enemies might have drugged me," Quah said. "It was a mistake that I would not have committed had I been of right mind. All I know, I have been humiliated."

The kid is 21. Cut him a little slack. Heck, I do shit like that, and I'm a decade older than him!

Quah said the photos were more than two years old and were taken and shared while he was drunk. He denied the genitalia in one picture was his, but said he did pose for two photos in an "inappropriate position."

Hmmm... I would be curious. From a strictly professional standpoint, of course!

What's left for them to do?

China dropped the diplomatic niceties Tuesday and labelled Prime Minister Stephen Harper's official meeting with the Dalai Lama "disgusting conduct."

Foreign ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao told reporters in Beijing: "This kind of disgusting conduct from Canada has seriously hurt Chinese people's feelings and seriously undermined Sino-Canadian relations."

So China's mad at us... what are they going to do about it? Poison our pet food? Put lead in our childrens' toys? Maybe they'll send us chickens infected with a terrible disease, or package our vegetables with E-Coli? Really, at this point, what's left, short of bombing us outright?

What liberal media bias??

Just when you think the MSM can't get any more dispicable...

But yesterday Julie Etchingham was left to ponder how quickly triumph can turn into humiliation after the most embarrassing gaffe of her career.

She did not realise her microphone was still on when she joked during a David Cameron speech that Conservatives favoured a policy of "extermination" on immigration.

Red-faced bosses at Sky News, which Etchingham, 37, leaves in a matter of weeks to join ITV, apologised over the incident yesterday branding it "regrettable".

Conservative insiders were particularly annoyed as it was Mr Cameron's first major speech on immigration, feeling it had turned him into a laughing stock.

Viewers saw Cameron saying: "Let me outline the action that a Conservative government would take. As we have seen, some of the increase in population size results from natural change - birth rates, death rates. Here our policy should be obvious... "

At which point Etchingham's voice was then clearly heard to say: "Extermination."

The bottom-feeding Khadr Family

I'm about to catch a flight from one Islamic hellhole (Minneapolis) to another (Toronto), but in the meantime, read about my favorite Toronto shit-suckers: The Khadr's.

For those who are late to the party, I'll briefly review the history of the Khadr family. Papa Khadr was a senior member of al-Qaeda who took his family to Afghanistan where they hung out with Osama Bin Laden. During the 1990's, he was arrested for his part in a terrorist attack in Afghanistan, but he was kindly sprung from jail through the intervention of Jean Chretien.

Mommy and Daddy al-Qaeda raised their children to be good little martyrs. The eldest daughter-s wedding was attended by Bin Laden - and she's reportedly under investigation by the RCMP. Two of the sons - Abdul and Omar - ended in Guantanamo Bay after being captured while fighting on behalf of the terrorists. Abdul flipped and managed to get out of Gitmo by working for the CIA. Omar, who killed an American in combat, is about to be tried for murder. Another son is in jail in Canada, awaiting extradition to the United States.

This fine passel of jihadis (I wonder what happens when you write "jihadi" over an airport network... I think I'm about to find out...) is whinging once more over having their "rights" as "Canadians" defended while Omar languishes at Gitmo. Remember, the entire brood is living off Canadian welfare, not having to work like you and I, and Omar is living better than all of us down on the beach in Cuba.

It's time we called for open season on Muslims, before any more harm can be done to us. Paging Pope Benedict....

Books

With Canadian book retailers not dropping their prices to reflect the higher Canadian dollar (yesterday it was $1.04US), my impromptu trip south of the border is fortuitous indeed. My strong dollar will allow me to pick up a stack of titles which back at home would cost me more than 40% more.

And an editorial in Today's Star (of all places) is right here with me:

In a bid to keep consumer anger from ricocheting onto the government, Finance Minister Jim Flaherty summoned the Retail Council of Canada to Ottawa to stress he wanted to see prices reduced to reflect the soaring dollar. What Flaherty got in response was a long list of excuses why Canadian prices must be higher than in the U.S. After failing to get any movement from retailers, the only thing Flaherty could tell buyers was "to shop around and look for discounts. It's important for people to realize there is power to shopping around."

As gratuitous as that advice might sound, it contains much truth. It is consumers who determine which businesses prosper and which ones fail. It was shoppers who forced Eaton's to close its doors for good. And just yesterday, Sears Canada Inc., one of the country's largest retailers, blamed cross-border shopping for part of a 2.9 per cent drop in sales in its last quarter, which ended Sept. 29.

Consumers don't need Flaherty to tell them they can often get American prices on the Internet, or by driving to Buffalo. And where price discrepancies are big enough, that is what they will do.

As an aside, I'm surprised that the Star is touting the market-driven economy. It's not like them to support the consumer in his choices. Oh well, maybe it's a guest editor.

Tequila: It's not just for breakfast anymore!

So I'm in Detroit, killing four hours of layover time before my flight to Kansas. There is a spa in this airport! And conveniently, a Cuervo Tequileria, for the little Mexican lush in all of us.

I arrived in Detroit about an hour ago, absolutely famished. I was up at the crack of sparrowfart this morning to catch my mid-morning flight to Detroit. Yes, you now have to get up at five in order to catch a flight at 9:30. Thank you, Al Qaeda, for fucking with my beauty sleep. After being poked and prodded by various members of airport security (who, I noticed, seemed to take a hands-off approach to Muslims - good job!), I had more than an hour to kill, and a grumbling tummy. Pearson has to be, by far, one of the scarcest airports when it comes to consumables (and wireless, which they charge for). Heck, even Guam has an Officer's Club. Pearson doesn't even boast a McDonald's! I would have kissed Osama's ass for an Egg McMuffin. So instead I paid $7 for a stale Danish and a Fresca, and comforted myself that in a few short hours (ok, many hours, since I have a long layover in Detroit) I would be sipping margaritas on the Donovan porch. The end justifies the somewhat abusive means. But like a stroke of destiny, upon debarking in Detroit, I discovered this little watering hole. My mind and body still wanted breakfast, but a person can easily convince themselves that their strawberry margarita is actually a fruit smoothie. Really, I swear!

Armed and Fabulous!

Not since Dorothy Gale donned her immortal shoes and tapped her way along the Yellow Brick Road with her rag-tag bunch of cohorts has anyone been this excited about going to Kansas. I mean, really, Kansas! I can't wait. This Friday, Tammy, Stacy and I are descending on Castle Argghhh for a girls' weekend hosted by Beth. There will be pumpkins to carve, margaritas to mix, and plenty of guns and ammo to keep us occupied. My heels are clicking even as we speak! I have met all three of these amazing women, but this will be the first time they meet each other... sparks will fly!! In a good way, naturally!

Yes Ladies, this is going to be one heck of a wild weekend, and after the year we've had (hey, everyone has a life beyond their blog - even me), we deserve it.

So many thanks to Beth, and thanks too, to Stacy and Tammy, for being there when I needed you. For standing up for me. For holding my hand (or bringing me AZO) when I felt I didn't have a friend left in the world. It really is just us, and this one's for you.

Newsflash: Crimes are committed by criminals!!

The number of high-risk offenders being monitored in the community by the probation service who committed a murder, rape or other serious offence rose by more than a third last year, according to figures published today.

Eighty-three criminals released from jail were charged with a further serious offence, compared with sixty-one in the previous year.

Twelve of the criminals who committed further offences were among 1,249 assessed as the "critical few" and who were assessed as having a high risk of harming the public.

So why are they getting released? If the law is to protect the greater public, that's who should be kept in mind during sentencing and parole. This isn't just an issue in the UK, but in all civilized countries. We give criminals too many rights, to the detriment - and sometimes death - of others.

What kind of people fire a cat??

The Clintons, of course.

AS THE "first pet" of the Clinton era, Socks, the White House cat, allowed "chilly" Hillary Clinton to show a caring, maternal side as well as bringing joy to her daughter Chelsea. So where is Socks today?

Once the presidency was over, there was no room for Socks any more. After years of loyal service at the White House, the black and white cat was dumped on Betty Currie, Bill Clinton's personal secretary, who also had an embarrassing clean-up role in the saga of his relationship with the intern Monica Lewinsky.

Sick. I mean, aside from the fact that Currie always gets stuck with the discarded pussy, it's a sad and disgusting indictment of the Clinton family that they basically leased a cat while they were in the White House, for no other reason that to make themselves look more human. They are anything but.

BBC believes criminals over military

Forty-nine Iraqi "criminals" have been killed in three separate raids in Sadr City in the capital, Baghdad, the US military says.

That's a headline on the BBC website. Note the scare quotes around the word criminals.

"The operation's objective was an individual reported to be a long-time Special Groups member specialising in kidnapping operations," it said.

Iraqi sources said women and children were among those killed, but the US said it was not aware of this.

Iraqi sources? What kind of sources? Is it the Iraqi government? Not exactly...

An official loyal to Moqtada Sadr said the attack was "simply barbaric".

"Most of those killed and wounded were women, children and elderly men which shows the indiscriminate monstrosity of the attacks on this crowded area," Abdul-Mehdi al-Muteyri told Reuters news agency.

The BBC feels the burden of proof should be on the American military to prove that those killed were indeed "criminals", but has no trouble at all believing the henchmen of a known thug and terrorist. Disgusting.

Maher Kicks Truther Ass

Because "asskicking is what's called for."

Ok, so Bill Maher is a leftie, but in the pecking order, he's nowhere near as low as the "truthers".

Maher helped remove a rowdy protester from the audience.

It happened during a panel discussion on science when an audience member with a sign stood up and started shouting something to the effect of "9/11 is a cover up for fraud." When Maher tried to shout him down, the man became agitated. And when guards couldn't budge him, Maher ran into the audience and personally helped shove the protester out the door.

"Yes, and you are a nutcase, Building Seven..."

DiManno's Afghan Roundup

Here are but a few stories from Afghanistan that you won't have read in the past couple of months:

New bridge built over the Kokcha River, connecting the only major road in Badakshan.

Dozens of injured civilians transferred by NATO helicopters to military hospitals after a massive suicide bombing in Spin Boldak.

Senior Taliban commander captured in Gereshk.

An orphanage for 200 children, boasting the luxury of running water, opened in Farah province.

Ribbons cut on three skills development centres in Khak-e Jabbar and Bagrami.

Raid of a massive weapons and drugs cache in Uruzgan.

Insurgent mortar position destroyed in Kunar province.

New hospital and separate health clinic completed in Tarin Kowt.

Village medical outreach services provided to civilians by the provincial reconstruction team (PRT) in Qalat.

Press releases of this nature, from the International Security Assistance Force, drop into my email basket every few days. They never make it into print. But accounts of Western soldiers killed, and most especially our own, are given elegiac cover, understandably so.

I wonder what the outcome would have been...

... had they run this poll in New Orleans.

An asteroid is on a collision course with the earth and you have one hour left to live. What would you do in your last 60 minutes?

Not surprisingly, the majority of Britons questioned in a survey -- 54 percent -- said they would like to spend it either with or on the phone to their loved ones.

But the survey revealed a strong hedonistic streak -- 13 percent would sit back, accept the inevitable and reach for a glass of champagne.

Sex appealed to only nine percent while just three percent would turn to prayer.

Two percent intriguingly said they would reach for some fatty food while another two percent decided, with just an hour's life to go, that it was time to start looting.

Just go ahead and convert, already!

President George W. Bush warned U.S. lawmakers Wednesday they risk causing "great harm" to America's relationship with Turkey if Congress passes a resolution declaring the 1915 slaughter of Armenians "genocide."

George, nobody's going to buy into your idea that the war is for our domestic protection if you continue to insist on sucking the collective dick of Islam. A million and a half people were killed in the Armenian Genocide - double the amount murdered in Rwanda. It was a genocide. And you're doing no one - except the terrorists - any favors when you take away from that.

How long before you start agreeing with Ahmadinejad that the Holocaust never happened, all for the sake of some ridiculous Islamic appeasement strategy?

Ontario Votes! (crickets chirp)

In a multi-man email this morning between Kathy, Rick, Arnie and myself:

Tips on voting, by RightGirl:

If your Conservative candidate is named Mohammed, vote Green Party.

If your Conservative candidate, or any of the Elections Canada people are named Mohammed (or Fatima), wear a pig mask, especially in Quebec. This works better in Federal elections, though.

If you have no idea who your local candidates are (or even what riding your are in) vote for the one who has John Tory's name underneath, UNLESS that candidate is named Mohammed. Should that be the case, refer to the first tip.

And finally, just say NO to Mixed Member Cronyism. If the activists like it, you know it's the wrong thing to do.

Obviously this is in jest, but should you be a lefty with zero sense of humor, please send all hate mail and fatwas to rightgirl@girlontheright.com

Happy Voting, Ontario!!

British Dhimmitude at Sainsbury's

I was tipped to this by reader David from the Libertarian Alliance.

Islamic workers at Sainsbury's who object to alcohol on religious grounds are told to raise their hands when encountering any drink at their till so that a colleague can temporarily take their place or scan items for them.

Other staff have refused to work stacking shelves with wine, beer and spirits and have been found alternative roles in the company.

Sainsbury's said this weekend it was keen to accommodate the religious beliefs of all staff but some Islamic scholars condemned the practice, saying Muslims who refused to sell alcohol were reneging on their agreements with the store.

Islam states that Muslims should not consume alcohol, but opinion is divided on whether it is permissible to be involved in the sale of it.

Mustapha, a Muslim checkout worker at the company's store in Swiss Cottage, northwest London, interrupts his work to ensure that he does not have to sell or handle alcohol.

Two words, Mustapha: You're fired.

Why on earth would you take a job somewhere when you know full well that you are prohibited from doing an integral (heck, in Britain, it's near mandatory) part of it. That would be like me applying to be a pilot, and then telling them I can't be forced to fly because I'm afraid of it.

David forwarded me a letter that Sean Gabb (also of the Libertarian Alliance) sent to Sainsburys:

Monday, 08 October 2007

Philip Hampton
Chairman
J. Sainsbury plc
33 Holborn
London EC1N 2HT

Dear Mr Hampton,

I am writing to object to your policy of allowing some Moslem employees to
opt-out of serving your customers by scanning alcohol products despite
assurances by the Moslem council of Britain and various other Islamic groups
that this is not a requirement of Islamic law. This policy was reported in
The Sunday Times on the 30th September 2007

As a Sainsbury's customer I feel offended that I may be served by a
Sainsbury's employee who, for his own personal reasons, feels that my
purchases are "unclean" and refuses to handle them. Furthermore, I am not
willing to be delayed at your store in order to accommodate the prejudices
of your employees.

I am further concerned that your decision on this issue will lead in future
to your allowing other groups of your employees not to serve me with pork,
beef, meat products, toiletries tested on animals, condoms, Christmas cards,
books of Bible stories, imports from Israel, or anything else they may
insist they do not like.

Therefore I will no longer shop at any of your stores until you reverse this
decision.

I look forward to your reply.

Yours sincerely,

Dr Sean Gabb

Sean, I can almost guarantee that Sainsbury's does not give a flying fart about your well thought out letter. You see, Sean, you are white, and as such, your demographic is dwindling. Soon enough most grocery outlets in Britain will not even sell liquor, lest they offend they bulk of their new demographic. It's called dhimmitude, Sean. Free market dhimmitude. And we're damned if we do or if we don't.

Thanks Loads; or: I am thankful for the 2-day old pizza I had for breakfast

It's Thanksgiving in Canada (Hey, we killed Indians, too, dammit, and we want our turkey day! Why should those pesky Yanks have all the fun?), so I thought it might be nice to do a quick roundup of things we should be thankful for.

The Canadian dollar closed at $1.02 US on Friday. It's been 33 years since we reached parity or above - I wasn't even born the last time!

The Canadian jobless rate is at a 33-year low low of 5.9%.

The surge is working, whether Pelosi & Co. like it or not.

The so-called surge has emboldened Iraqis, who now are showing unprecedented cooperation with American troops in an effort to rid their neighborhoods of dangerous madmen.

The US economy added 110,000 more jobs in September, after adding 89,000 in August. Damn that George Bush - he keeps pulling the rug out under the naysayers!

"It certainly doesn't look like an economy that's losing momentum," said John Ryding, chief U.S. economist at Bear Stearns Cos. in New York.

So while I might be a Negative Nancy much of the time on this blog, I thought today was a good chance to point out a few things that are benefiting us. Things we should be thankful for. Feel free to add more in the comments.
